Picturing Minnesota
Living in Minnesota has shown me a whole new meaning for nature. Taking pictures is quickly becoming my most favorite activity. I can barely stand to sit in the car on a nature drive or (to be honest) any drive. I want to be out there walking in the trees, chasing the dragonflies, searching for frogs and turtles, listening to all the songs of the wild places, and exploring every last spot that is hidden in the forests and lakes.
Where do those trails go? If I wait long enough will that bald eagle land for a picture? What kind of bird is that? Was that a wolf or a coyote? Is that deer alone or is there more hidden in that treeline? Which lake is this? What's that blue heron staring at? Are those beaver dams and if so where are the beavers? How can there be so many different dragonflies in one place?
All these pictures were taken at Lake Bemidji State park in Bemidji, Minnesota.
I've updated my camera several times in the last year alone and will probably have to do it again. I've already decided that I have no choice but to bring it with me everywhere because there's always something I have to take a picture of. I'm not done yet. There's a lot more just waiting for me to find it!
I LOVE IT!

Just an Interesting Website
I was browsing the great wide web and came across this website. Some of these are just absolutely fascinating! I literally sat here reading page after page and still could sit here reading for hours!

I had to share the picture because I've never seen this one before and I think it is so beautiful. Hard to believe it could be real. But given what little I (or anyone) knows about black holes, I'm sure if I'm close enough to see it in real life then it will be a little too late to share the knowledge. So perhaps in this case I don't really need to see to believe... this picture will do nicely. Thank you!
